  1. Good thing I live in the Philippines where I can eat with my bare hands and
with no regards to formality things. We observe manners and respect in our
own way. But of course I;m watching these and those to have basic knowledge
in instances where I have to socialize with people off my culture, or
    international standards per se.

  2. Everyone is stressing over the whole phone thing. If your phone rings from
inside your bag and you’ve got a sick child, or think it might be an
emergency, you excuse yourself and go outside of the dining area.

  3. She’s right about most of this. It’s disgusting how many people stick their
fingers in their mouths at the table! Of you need to do it, go to the
    bathroom!

  4. I like to follow this advice to the letter so that everyone is comfortable
in my presence and trusts my maturity and manners. About half way through
the evening I then go to the bathroom and smear shit all over the walls,
and when it is discovered nobody usually suspects that it was me.

  5. Oh god. I’m SOOOOO proud to be Chinese :/ kay I wonder what will happen if
my parents are invited to one of these dinners oh my lord

  6. And if the person calling is/could be more important the ppl calling? For
instance, your child or child’s babysitter in the case of an emergency?

  7. 1 second ago↵ LovebumperVideo I don’t think you get something… Manners is
not about making people feel smaller than you. It’s about making people
feel that they matter. Good manners doesn’t at any time make people
uncomfortable, if you do that than u don’t have good manners.

  8. what if the phone was an emergency? there’s a pretty big reason why people
don’t turn off their phones. maybe some of these dining etiquette are not
    in tune with today’s culture.

  9. @Jenna83184 I don’t care if it was a $200 filet miignon, you watch the
waiter take it away and you like it. Then watch those starving african
    world vision commercials and laugh.

  10. It is unsanitary to eat from the same plates, unless it’s a couple. I find
it very disturbing when I see 6 people sitting at a restaurant and SHARING
1-2 appetizers. ANd if you can’t order one whole appetizer for yourself,
don’t go out. You look cheap and stupid.
