  1. omg i just found your channel through this video and love your philosophies
and the movie Earthlings is what made me become vegetarian too! that movie
made me cry like 5 times watching it but i forced myself to continue
watching because it is so important to be aware of the world around us and
make informed decisions. new subbie, love you channel xx

  2. i have been eating mostly vegan the past year and I feel so good on the
inside and outside since doing so, Ive always loved animals but was just
uneducated about a lot of things, and probably still am…I don’t think I
could watch earthlings, I cry even when you talk about it lol all my family
says I shouldn’t watch it because I will probably be crying for a week..
hahah I love your videos, a recent subscriber and love your channel..we
have a lot of the same values 🙂 xx

  3. so glad to hear you have made this decision. continue to educate yourself
and never be afraid to share your compassion. you will feel better and
better as time goes on and you reach veganism :)

  4. I’m vegetarian as well and I completely agree with your point on
speciesism. Humans are so cruel and horrible to animals it makes me sick

  5. I think I’ve watched Earthlings before, but your video was really inspiring
so now I’m seriously considering becoming vegeterian/vegan

  6. its the lifestyle we living, its so wrong (sedentary) we get bored nothing
to do, so eat food which Tv (ignorant people) tells us 2 eat,

go out in nature and your mind, perspective will change, or go find
something that makes you happy for example me, rock climbing, etc , learn to
    THINK FOR YOURSELF! 😀

Your eyes are beautiful btw :)

  7. this is an awesome story! thank you for being so honest. being vegan is
positive and great and i commend you for your compassion. i love being
    vegan and animals also

  8. Dear lovely Essena,
I have been a vegan since last year and on Saturday I watched Earthlings
because you shared it. I cried a lot and it showed me that the lifestyle I
have chosen is the right one. Thank you so much for being you and doing
what you are doing! For some months I have been thinking about sharing the
benefits of the vegan lifestyle with you, but I was way too shy and I
thought that you are not interested in it. However I would love you to read
my blog post about “What changed when I went vegan”, I have never thought
that going vegan has so many benefits! It even made my skin unbelievable
    smooth! 🙂
Please keep doing what you are doing!
You are such a great inspiration and such a precious soul!
    Lots of love, Teresa xx

  9. I think your videos would be far more popular and you would get way more
views if you talked for less time and put some jump cuts. advice because I
genuinely love ur videos but cant be bothered to watch them because there
    soooo long

  10. essena always talks about how she eats a balanced diet (full nutrition) but
I don’t see how not eating meat is a balanced diet? Meat is still healthy.
    I am JUST wondering…

  11. Thank you for being so truthful. I also went in and out of being vegetarian
all my life. I had always felt compassion towards animals and could never
connect an animal with the food I was eating otherwise I wouldnt be able to
eat it. I finally watched documentaries like earthlings and decided once
and for all that was it. I have been vegetarian for 3 years and dairy free.
For me, I felt a huge sense of relief when I made that decision because it
was making a difference to my world. I felt lighter and more at peace and I
am healthier than I have ever been before.

I agree that everyone needs to do what is right for them. 🙂

  12. You go girl! I became vegan (and mostly raw) a few months ago 🙂 feels
good. Have you seen the documentary Forks over Knives? It’s really
    interesting!

  13. Woohoo!! I’m a vegan and that is awesome that you switched your lifestyle
🙂 Congratulations <3 🙂 This is the best thing you could do for your body
    and the planet :)

  14. Please stop being vegetarian you are killing yourself. watch the
documentary fathead then if you have questions email me.

  15. If you want to help animals, become vegan. The dairy and egg industry is
one of the cruelest industries out there.

  16. Everything you said was acceptable until you began your speech about money
and labour. Realistically the realm of labour capital regards only the
ignorant. There are people whom live on exotic landscapes and cultivate
animals for a living. Their diet is a composition of healthy meats grasses
and fruits. The adult world you speak of is for people whom consume farmed
animals. The whole process is completely perverted and it renders our
societies stupid. Did you know there are people in my city who shun me for
hunting animals yet where leather shoes and eat beef 4 times a week. Do us
all a favour and keep quiet about modern civilization; focus on exotic
    ones.

  17. I’m a 15 year old vegetarian. At first, I was a poyo-tarian (where I would
only eat chicken and turkey). I hated fish, so I didn’t eat that as well
with red meat. I was like this for 3 years and now since January of 2013,
I’m a vegetarian! My parents were at first iffy with the whole thing, but I
think that for kids who want to be vegetarians, do what I did. Cut out some
meat products little by little. It will be less stressful to your parents.

  18. Vegetarian burgers are far more toxic than conventional beef patties.
More than 99% of vegetarian burgers at grocery retailers are made with soy
protein isolate (aka textured vegetable protein, aka soy meal). These
substances derived from defatted soy flour are mostly used in pet foods,
but sweetened up with sugar and spices to help improve their taste. Soy oil
is generally separated from flaked soybeans — leaving defatted meal that’s
ground into flour — using a chemical called hexane, one of the volatile
organic compounds that constitutes natural gas, crude oil and gasoline.
Since more than 95% of soy is also genetically modified, you’re also
getting a nice dose of transgenic DNA in your veggie burgers.

  19. The whole issue with vegetarianism is the elitist package that goes with
it. Ethically eating meat from the terrible factory farms is wrong, however
it will never change and no one will ever change it. Being vegetarian may
make you healthier but other than that it is a useless cause – though
theoretically is may be pleasing. I was vegetarian for about 3 years,
nearly turned vegan, till I realised it was a lost cause. It’s only use it
to look down upon others and pretend to be better than them.

  20. And I bet she won’t change because someone on the internet said she’s wrong
being the way she is. You’re, visibly, against vegetarian diet but try to
respect what other people think. I’m sure she think she’s extremely healthy
with her habits, even if she isn’t, honestly, you’re some kind of healthy
as fuck person to contest her diet? I’m sure she’s healthier than a lot of
Mc Donald’s lovers. Meat isn’t the key to stay healthy. That’s bullshit.

  21. You can SEE weakness and you can SEE peoples health? You are, my friend, in
the politest way possible, full of utter crap. You know nothing about me,
or my health, or what I should be eating. Run along now, and please don’t
pollute this video any more with your spam or I will have to block you,
it’s very hard for anyone else to interact with your incessant and
incorrect spam that has absolutely no basis in science or fact.

  22. this idiot is literally commenting on every single vegetarian video. i
don’t care what you eat, but you aren’t helping anyone. so just go away.

  23. I have been a pescetarian for over a year and a half now, I’m hoping to
become a vegetarian when I become an adult 🙂

  24. vegetarianism has a lot of benefits but if you are a serious athlete you
need even more iron and proteins… meat or supplements.
